The prison life In the year 1999, Sarah Water wrote a fiction novel called affinity. The story generally talks of a love story of two ladies who were both in their own solitude. One on the main character was a convict in prison while the other was home remanded for attempts to commit suicide. The book generally shows us the life of women in prison. Today, they are many people in prison due to felony. The prison life is not very fascinating to many people especially for individual who have ever experienced it. The ration of other inmates, guards and warden keeps life at stake for most prisoners. This work will focus on the female prison life with assistance to Sarah’s book. The plot summary of the novel can be described as a story of two spinster women. One named Aurora happens to be a visitor to the local prison in Victorian era England. Aurora is not living a blissful life during this moment She is just trying to recover from the death of her beloved dad as well as the failed attempt to commit suicide. He also have problem with living with his mother at home which makes him lack or the power and freedom despite her advanced age of 30 years.
